PETA

I dislike PETA...and everything it stands for, and yet I encounter pet people who continue to stand for PETA, and some how I suspect they do not really understand what PETA is all about.
Today's blog is simply a link to another blog...read it, it pretty much says it all.

  1. I have never been a big supporter of PETA either. Although some of this information is new to me, I have never liked their tactics. I think they may have gotten started off right in protesting the use of animals in research, they have what my mother used to call "biting your nose off to spite your face". Or to put it in modern day terms doing something stupid that only hurts you in the end. I haven't studied up on PETA in years, there was something they did several years ago that turned me off and I just kind of ignored them. I really didn't know until I read this blog that they actually are proponents of kill shelters. To me shelters are kind of like a jail for animals, so would that mean that all people in prison should be killed to reduce the criminal population? No matter what their offense was? Sounds like a pretty similiar kind of reasoning to me. The only difference is that the animals really haven't done anything to deserve being in the shelter. The criminals have.

  2. Powerful post by Winograd. Wish there was a way to get the truth out there for people to see. Newkirk is a sick, sick human being and too many animals have paid for that with their lives. Just disgusting.
